Firstly, I’m so happy that you have found me, and thank you so much for taking this time to get to know me a little better as I know just how insainly busy life can be with a little one.
Now that you are here, I would like to let you into a little secret. My first name isn't really Naomie, it's Awena! 'Naomie' & 'Ella' are in fact my middle names.
But I chose to use these names for my Mamas Well-being business as 'Ella' was the middle name of my wonderful granny and also great aunt’s middle name too.
So for me, this meant that I could feel close to them and pay homage to the incredible women in my family line - most of all my own awesome superhero mama. I know, I know, soppy and sentimental...
A passionate and enthusiastic woman with a mission to change the world!
I am a massive lover of interior design, fancy kitchens, the colour teal and I am utterly and completely obsessed with all things weddings! Oh and I am a trained milliner, which means I can make fancy hats and elaborate head-wear!
I'm passionate about helping others to live their lives to their full potential so training and working as an Occupational Therapist and Life Coach has been an incredible journey for me.
While I do love the creative side of life, I also deeply care about the well-being of others and feel that mothers don't always get the support and help they need in order to thrive in motherhood - hence my desire to change the world!
Just over three years ago I gave birth to one awesome little firecracker. At this exact moment, I also gave birth to my mother self.
Motherhood wasn't quite what I expected it would be, I experienced deep postnatal depression, complete loss of self, and chronic fatigue. I took a whole year of self discovery, exploration and took a positive, mindful well-being approach to life and rose strong!
Believe me, I have been there and I have also completely transformed my life!
At 30 weeks pregnant I married my all-time favourite man (not quite the big dream wedding I had been planning since I was like.....6 years old! And somehow I couldn't envision being a new mum breastfeeding from a vintage lace size 12 designer gown...) But the day was the most magical of days, surrounded by just our immediate family. Small, low key, and everything went just perfect. I wouldn't change it for the world.
Four years on and we are all living in a place that I can finally call home. Not one for staying still means that I have had the opportunity to have many adventures and live in so many different places, mostly big cities. But I’m a country girl at heart which is why I absolutely love living in the quiet surroundings of nature now.
I'm happiest when I am well away from any hustle and bustle, just right for a secret introvert like me. The perfect place to explore our journey as a little family and ride the crazy roller-coaster of life, the ups, the downs, the twists and the turns.
So, this is me now, A work from home mum, loving my life as an entrepreneur running an online business from my spare room while tackling all the challenges that motherhood throws at us. I absolutely love working from my office at home, sat at my desk, supporting mothers online & with a pot of tea by my side – My happy place.
So, why this?
I started my online business because I wanted more freedom, a better life balance and to live my days with purposeful direction.
I wanted to be there for my child when he needed me and to spend my energy, time and money working on the things that I loved.
I wanted financial freedom, to be able to fully support my family, live in a home I felt proud of and go on adventures around the world.
I wanted to be living my life by my rules, following my passions my dreams and create a future where I would thrive as a mother and a woman, feeling fulfilled happy and truly connected to my purpose.
So, my big question to you is.... Are you ready?
