3 Simple Ways You Can Incorporate Fitness As A Busy Mum

Awena Naomie Ella

Being a mum is a busy and very full-time occupation!

You might be one of the many mums who just can’t seem to find the time to get fit again?

You want to get moving but there is always a million factors that get in the way:

  • You can’t get to the gym
  • Too tired at the end of the day
  • Don’t have the time
  • Your always too busy

I hear you, it is busy! But there are ways that you can sneak it in without doing a full blown HITT class in your living room. Let’s face it, most likely you have a small human attempting to piggy back you or crawl under you…

If you are a mama who is…

  • Struggling to get fit
  • Feeling like there is no time to get exercise in
  • Feeling sluggish, de motivated and/or frustrated about it

Then Holla!! You are not alone; I’ve been feeling exactly the same!

So recently I have been finding ways to incorporate a little fitness into my day without taking the time out to do it… yeay!

Here are three things you can do today that will get things moving, give you a little more energy, inspiration and motivation to get fit!

  1. 1
When you are getting dressed in the morning. Before you put your trousers on..... do 10 sit ups, 10 squats, and plank for 10 breaths!

Start small, start with something that you can do, that you can achieve, this is a start and it's all about starting!

    OR,
  2. 2
Do some gentle stretching. Simple, easy and quick to do. It gets your body moving and you feeling better mentally too!

    OR,
  3. 3
Put on some silly music with your kids, they disco while you squat, aerobic move, star jump..... win win!

Play time with the kids but you're both enjoying it in your own way! It's a great way to engage in shared occupation!

To understand what I mean about shared occupation read my blog or you can check out my video 'Taking time to slow down and be present' where I talk a little more about it in The Connected Mother Collective group.

Lots of love mama!
